I'm connecting with queer, trans, black, and immigrant artists and designers around NYC to develop a series of fashion pictures to empower our LGBTQ+ community and bring powerful stories and messages that will bring hope and healing to our community who has been suffering so much around the globe.
I'm selecting emerging artists from the LGBTQ+ community, including models, dancers, fashion designers, painters, makeup artists, and actors who have been managing surviving the pandemic working from home, to collaborate and create images, short video interviews, motivational videos, and use this same material to advocate for our community. My goal is to create a coffee table book to sell and donate 50% of the profit to help the homeless LGBTQ+ people around the world.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
