Stories have the power to change lives and through a joint collaboration between myself and Echo White Fox Production, we plan to create a visual story tell about a girl facing her truths and transforming for the better through a sci-fi / dark fantasy short film. Our goal is represent the voice of women who cannot speak for themselves, but are searching for an outlet to be more free in a world of prejudice, inequality and imposter syndrome. I feel connected to this piece because I have been " her " , the woman without a voice; the woman who needs to transform in order to be true to herself and make a greater impact on the world around her.
The space will be used to shoot a short film, a PSA , a message to women for Women's Heritage Month and many months to come. If there are funds left after production , an intimate screening with Women & Community Wellness Leaders would curated to promote and share the message about self-love and inner development.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
