About this project

Their cause

Metro Vision Partners NFP implements a program called Living Room Conversations: Paint Party. This event is designed to cultivate intergenerational connections for young girls and women (ages 12 and above). Offering at minimum quarterly, these events allow individuals to paint and converse about topics including but not limited to relationships, family, education, health and career. The intergenerational aspect allows the participants to gain perspective from various lenses (youth and elder). Metro Vision Partners, NFP provides all supplies free of charge and facilitates the discussion.

How they'll use their space

Due to COVID-19 we have offered the program virtually. If selected, we would use the space to offer the event in person (operating within the required CDC and city guidelines). We would also be able to project a video clip that will be used as apart of the conversation.

What is Space for Change?

Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.

Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.

Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
