We are working with an Organization called Silent Cry Inc. to put on a fundraiser where 50% of event proceeds go to the organization. And the rest would go to the vendors and artists who perform at the event. Silent Cry Inc. is a New York based non-profit organization that takes a holistic approach to aftercare form mass incarceration, gun violence and trauma. My connection is because I know the owner and founder of the organization and our company does a fundraiser each year to help with causes such as this. All in all I believe in her organization. My team and I also can relate to the purpose.
We will invite 3 performing artists, 3 vendors, have a silent auction, and will be doing a giveaway at the event based on ticket purchases. Silent Cry will be able to speak on their purpose. We also plan to premier a couple of the films and projects we’ve worked on during the pandemic.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
