The Purple Tape Project is a direct initiative to aid, raise, and spread domestic violence awareness throughout the Atlanta area and beyond. Through the use of creative arts and local organizational support we have honored the lives of those who have been effected by domestic violence abuse and its associated trauma. The main goal within this effort is to employ a safe space for both survivors and supporters to share their stories of bravery and provide voices for those who often go unheard.
If chosen we will transform the space in a decorated intimate setting for a benefit event that will incorporate original artwork, live performances, a panel of speakers (ranging from counselors, medical professionals, lawyers, etc), as well survivor tributes.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
