Since 2016, Buy From A Black Woman has empowered, educated, and inspired Black Women business owners and the people who support them. A registered tax-exempt nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, Buy from a Black Woman ensures that Black Women have the tools and resources that will allow them to be successful. Through educational programs, an online directory, and funding, Buy from a Black Woman continues to grow as a trusted resource that helps Black Women in business.
In 2018 & 2019 Nikki Porcher, founder of Buy From a Black Woman traveled the East Coast, visiting, connecting and spreading the word about the importance of supporting & buying from Black Woman during The Black Woman Inspire Tour. This summer, we will be going back on the road and visit 15 different cities to help spread bring awareness to Black Women Business Owners. We hope to use this space to host private small dinners with the Founder and Black Women Business Owners in some of the cities we visit. This is a start, but we would love to have peerspace join H&M and become an official sponsors of The Black Woman Inspire Tour.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
