About this project

Their cause

My name is Ni’cola Mitchell, and I am the founder of Girls Who Brunch Tour. Our organization’s main objective is to cultivate, inspire, and empower at risk girls’ ages 9-17 years old. Today, girls are very impressionable. This demographic of girls is being exposed to bullying, human trafficking, self-esteem issues, and underestimation of self-worth. At Girls Who Brunch, we provide vital tools needed through literacy, education, life skills, and health & wellness to help girls become leaders and difference makers in their communities. We would love for you to see our organization in action. Please visit our website: www.Girlswhobrunchtour.com and follow the Events and Get Involved links to see our upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.

How they'll use their space

If we win the space, we will have a location for our annual event, Weekend of Giving that will take place will take place May 2021 in the beautiful city of Atlanta. Our theme this year is “It Starts with Us”, and we’re looking to raise $50,000 through our Authors vs Actors Basketball Game and our Tutus & Tennis Shoes Fundraising Gala. Because of Covid, this has been very hard hosting our annual event in person and still have the capacity to raise the funds in person as we have done in the past. We want a location where we can still honor our 6 honorees from across the country that has shown tremendous leadership skills, growth, and all while being difference makers in their communities. We can’t meet our goal without the help of people and companies like you and yours.

What is Space for Change?

Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.

Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.

Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
