Teen Artists' Creative Oasis (T.A.C.O.) is a non-profit Chicago-based project that provides an inclusive space and shares creative resource. We are an organization founded by and for teens . Our mission allows young creatives to explore networking and making of connections within the city. Not only are we a social space but we provide the opportunity for young people who may not consider themselves artists to inspired by other creatives around them.
We will utilize the space to host a mixed media event for artists under the age of 21 to show their work. We have hosted a 5 shows like this since 2019 and all have been a great success in bringing young creatives in Chicagoland together. The show is promoted via social media and reaches new people every time. Hosting a show would help grow our platform and allow artists to get active after the lockdown of the pandemic.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
