With a deep passion for equity, particularly educational equity, I began my company, Equity Lens Consultants. It is my mission to shed light on the alarming inequities that exist in society while providing practical and relevant solutions.
As a minority woman, first-generation college graduate, and developed leader, I am passionate about educating others on any topic pertaining to equity. I want to help people understand why it is imperative that we do what it takes to make the world a more equitable place. Why? Well, if equity doesn't exist, how can we be sure that everyone has had the opportunity to fulfill their purpose on the earth?
My deepest desire is to see true equity achieved in every space. I provide quality and relevant equity consulting and coaching to schools, businesses, organizations, faith groups, or individuals in order to tear down the barriers and system imposed limitations that keep people from reaching their full potential!
The ultimate goal and focus of Equity Lens Consultants is to teach people how to operate in a more equitable way. It is necessary to the success of every people group, that we all adopt an equitable perspective. Everyone should experience the benefits of living in an equitable society.
One of the most impactful components of my company is the “Equity Lens Cafes.” These are intimate gatherings where we engage in both perspective-shifting conversations and meaningful trainings on equity. We believe people desire to operate more equitably but need a greater understanding of what that looks like. Therefore, “Equity Lens Cafe” sessions are centered around topics related to equity. This leads to awareness, growth, and empowerment of everyone involved. Each “Equity Lens Cafe” is tailored to address the specific needs of teachers and school leaders, business owners, or anyone with a leadership role.
It is our desire to use spaces all over the world to foster these rich discussions and trainings that lead to change! Equity Lens Consultants is determined to make the world a more equitable place!
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
