Keenan Outreach is a non profit organization that I started with the grieving heart in mind. The main goal of the organization is to provide A) Grief Counseling/Relief to those who have lost a loved one B) Provide an academic support to students who have experience the death of an important person in their life C) to be a wealth of resource to its community. This year we will be fundraising for our inaugural scholarship benefit. Our goal is to award 5 candidates a scholarship to college. At only 18 months, I, Morgan Hale, Founder of Keenan Outreach lost my mother. She left behind 10 children that suffered tremendously. Fast forward I have become a certified grief counselor and have written a self hep book to guide those who have lost a loved one along a dark and confusing time. My mission is to see that no child or adult experiences the trauma the I did or feel that they have no way up.
With hopes as a winner, the space will be used to host the benefit cocktail reception dinner to increase the community support, say thank you to donors and provide a briefing of the organizations progress. The organization will connect with members of the community in a special way. This will aid in helping the organization to be positioned as a trusted community partner that follows through on its promise.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
