I am apart of a Creative Group Called the Collective BLK. We focus on topics in the African American Community that we can openly talk about while using our Art/Dance background to help tell the story. We have separately encountered many different experiences that have fueled our passion to want to give back to our community and help shine light on issues we have faced with but also see happening around us.
If I win, I would love to use the space for my upcoming project that I have in development right now.I would use this space for my part of the short film, which will be one whole video. Peer space has amazing options for a creator to help tell their story but also set the tone of what the Artist is going for.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
