Through the creativity and fun process, Kraft it Up provides a platform for youth development, self-awareness, self-esteem, career path and college preparation workshops. Kraft it Up design, implement, and facilitate STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math) lesson and activities that aligns with program goals. This program brings youth together to freely express themselves though an open forum mentorship program, while being creative. As the owner of Kraft it Up, I bring years of Human Resources experience, community involvement and leadership roles to the program. I uniquely connect a fun craft project to a learning topic. Youth are able to build critical thinking and problem-solving skills, develop a skill into income opportunity, improve creativity, and create independent thinkers.
The space will be used to host a series of youth development and crafting workshop that aligns with our mission in a safe and protected environment. Depending on the flexibility, the space will be a safe haven for those to be creative, express themselves and to develop life skills. With the time allowed in the space, there will be a growth tracking system. Participants can attend as many topics and be recognized through an award ceremony highlighting their accomplishments.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
