Our mission is to help the youth of Central America and the United States live better lives and to have greater futures. Currently, there are a lot of Central American youth being displaced due to immigration. They are being sent to foreign countries, alone, and with no access to their family. We are currently helping those families with resources to reconnect the youth to their families and help provide them with safe spaces. I have been involved with at CNNCA for years and I am helping with this mission to help keep youth safe. I am one of the leaders of this specific project therefore I am looking for resources to continue helping.
For this specific project, we are partnering with local artists to help us create art that we can use to fundraise for our “CNNCA United Across Borders” project. Therefore, this space will be used for us to have a space to create art, put together essential items packets for youth, help us continue working on this impactful project, and have a gallery space to showcase our art.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
