About this project

Their cause

I am a Latina queer artist making music and telling stories to fight a cause. Currently, I’m involved with the production of my third music video, Electric Elegance. Electric Elegance gives continuity to the work I’ve been doing celebrating and uplifting queerness in music. In 2018, I composed and released I Want Ur Luv, a manifesto produced by Grammy award-winning artist Bob Brockmann denouncing the violence against the LGBTQ+ community in my home country, Brazil.

How they'll use their space

This awesome space has the perfect visual vibe to compose the set of my music video. Electric Elegance is a song about the electrifying love between two women, and the studio I am applying for has multiple options with stimulating aesthetics that match the concept of it.

What is Space for Change?

Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.

Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.

Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
