I'm the roots of the conscious brand, Bromelia Swimwear. To me, producing ethically is sustainability on a human level. So, I have dedicated the brand to champion underserved communities in the slow fashion movement. The seed of Bromelia is to give voice to these communities through fair-waged fashion.
To put it simply, we provide dignified jobs, with fair paid wages and above all respect for what these artists bring to the table. I aim to support locals wherever I live, so I began the current LA-based chapter in late 2019, when I relocated back to my California home town from Rio de Janeiro, where Bromelia began. I seek out individuals who have a story to tell through patterns, design, art and photography. These are not corporate executives, but real people with rich ideas.Together we aim to make fashion more relatable as we create pieces to promote inclusivity and body positivity.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
