I’m working with causes directly and indirectly. One of the direct causes is working with the A Phillip Randolph association in San Francisco. I provide video production services for community events to help document the work they do in with the Public Housing Associations. We have filmed turkey giveaways, Christmas tree giveaways, police interventions and more. The way I help indirect is by making message based music with the hopes of inspiring the listener. My method is the “medicine in the candy” approach.
I will use the space to stage a video experience. I will gather prominent musicians, artists, and poets to create a virtual performance. I have a network of community activists and thought provoking artists. We will create paintings to sell and donate the proceeds to a vetted organization committed to social justice.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
