About this project

Their cause

In Association with WACO Theater & RLS Studios we have been curating festivals for women creating content since 2016. This will be our 7th event and 5 years of creating a platform for female filmmakers to introduce their work to their community and industry leaders. This will be our first virtual experience and as an artist and Co-Founder we want to assure our patrons and celebrity panel that the virtual experience will be just as captivating.

How they'll use their space

The Founder, Brittany Batchelder and myself will be doing a pre-corded ZOOM interview with Melina Matsoukas and then there will be a Celebrity Panel on a live ZOOM for our VIP Patrons. We would use the space to record. It will be tea-party themed so we would like something posh and bright!

What is Space for Change?

Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.

Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.

Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
