About this project

Their cause

Maintaining your mental health as a black, female entrepreneur. I host events and spaces for women like me to feel comforted, seen and celebrated despite his hat things may be for them. I invite other women in influence to help share their stories alongside myself and ultimately connect and create new working and personal relationships afterwards. I’m connected to this cause because I live it. I live with depression, anxiety and PTSD while functioning fully as an entrepreneur around the clock.

How they'll use their space

I will host my second annual brunch in the space provided. It will be intimate. My panelists will be present, my guests will be well taken care of, food will be provided, and networking will be encouraged. This will be a safe space to share our stories and spread awareness for mental health and creativity in our communities. I’ve applied for this opportunity before and hopefully my message is heard louder and clearer with peer space to help me make this happen!

What is Space for Change?

Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.

Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.

Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
