About this project

Their cause

Phases is a luxury black-owned brand headquartered in Miami, Florida. Known initially as Phases Shoetique, focusing on women’s shoes. But, now Phases has plans to expand to women’s shoes & accessories. The company aims to be the bridge between black culture and luxury. Creating cultural experiences and selling products that inspire luxury fashion. Breaking barriers and creating opportunities one product at a time. Our mission is to bridge the gap between black culture and luxury, but we are working to bridge the gap between support/resources/equality and aspiring entrepreneurs. I am a young entrepreneur myself that faced hardships with finding support and resources. When I faced obstacles within my business, I didn't have anyone that understood the hardships entrepreneurs experience or receive advice to point me in the correct direction for resources. Aspiring entrepreneurs are always overlooked, but it is my goal to unite together to change that theory.

How they'll use their space

I will host a workshop/social event where aspiring entrepreneurs can gather to receive advice from successful entrepreneurs, network themselves amongst other entrepreneurs and gain a support system to help them reach their goals.

What is Space for Change?

Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.

Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.

Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
