About this project

Their cause

Hello! My name is Dominique Hobdy, I'm the founder and CEO of SACRD. We're the first affiliate-driven review and recommendation site for Black-owned brands and products. Our aim is to create space for Black creators and consumers in the affiliate editorial space by creating useful, thoughtful, and inclusive shoppable content for readers that want to support Black brands.

How they'll use their space

We will use the space to create our first short film that will introduce us as a brand/company and help illustrate what we're trying to do. We want buying Black to become a normal part of life, to be something that buyers of all backgrounds don't have to think about twice. We have a working concept of an everyday woman using Black-owned products as a part of her everyday routine that would really help us illustrate our end goal.

What is Space for Change?

Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.

Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.

Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
