We are dealing with systematic racism by using project-based actions to change it. For example, we are currently working on a DEI curriculum that we will introduce to the education board to have implemented into the K-12 education system. We will also have these peace events where individuals of unlikeness come together in a social sharing setting and talk about our differences for the sake of creating positive solutions.
We will use the space to conduct our research projects designed to eliminate racism and racial injustice and cultivate a learning center for reconciliation and change. We would also love to have space to conduct our racial equity think tank.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
