Beauty has been defined narrowly in western society. Marva Elaine strives to redefine beauty. We support black & brown faces and represent them in a tunnel industry. More importantly, we provide character/image building, emotional support and breathe courage into our community. How we view each other has played an important role in the history of black & brown people. We aim to break stereotypes and end colorism in our communities. We push for equal representation in media/entertainment and fight for the faces of color who are underrepresented.
The space will be used to create a series of photoshoots for models to build their portfolios and workshops for coaching models new to the industry.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
