Currently I am working to increase accessibility to nutrient dense produce to predominantly black communities on the Southside of Chicago through urban farming, establishing food pantries, and working with local residents as well as community stakeholders.
This space will be used to as a maker space to allow me and those on my team an opportunity to fully plan out the overall goals for the company this year and how we plan to successfully achieve such goals. In addition this space, will allow us to gather community stakeholders and propose our business plan and receive feedback as to how they believe our company will fit into the community's culture.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
