About this project

Their cause

Our agency works to help brand and build small businesses, non-profits and brands in the U.S. We help new and growing business owners with all of their marketing, branding and event planning needs to help their businesses thrive. In doing so, we are building a network of like-minded entrepreneurs that want to see one another grow. Our community, the AME Community, pairs entrepreneurs together to support one another and find ways to collaborate or exchange services. The idea is the AME team will help brand and market your business venture and the AME Community gives you that extra support that all entrepreneurs need. I am personally connected to it as the founder. When I first founded my agency, I wish I had a community of people I could talk to and grow with during my entrepreneur struggles. Here we are today, building memorable brands and truly taking our community to the next level.

How they'll use their space

The space will be used to host our first event "AME Entrepreneur Summit" in Charlotte, NC bringing together entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs in one space. This will be the first AME showcase for entrepreneurs in the city. For example, in our community we have a chef, a dj, musicians, hair stylists, real estate agents, interior designers etc. This will be an opportunity for our community members to showcase their businesses in real time. This will also be an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to ask them questions, attend workshops, participate in group discussions to learn more about entrepreneurship. The summit will consist of live demonstrations such as a live cooking demonstration, a live dj battle, live hair show, live fitness workshop etc. making it a real life entrepreneurs in action kind of event.

What is Space for Change?

Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.

Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.

Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
