About this project

Their cause

I AM Black In America is a series that was created in 2020. Last year our country experienced a unbearable number of black men and women being murdered for no reason or color of their skin. Along with heightened racial attacks and discrimination. As I watched the media cover the stories their were many lies being told and I didn’t feel that the voices from the black communities were authentically be heard. As the Founder of a production company and a woman of color I wanted to use my platform to give people of color the opportunity to speak their truth. Love Is Enough Productions is a company who’s mission is to entertain to change the world. So giving people of color a platform to speak candidly on how the injustice in America has effected their lives is one way we can help change the world around us. I AM Black In America is my way of changing the truth narrative the media created to coverup their the injustice that has taken place in this country to generations.

How they'll use their space

I plan the use the space to create content to continue the I AM Black In America series. My team and I will begin the day focusing on our digital marketing that will be apart of every video concept. After the marketing shoot we will being interviewing the 12 individuals we have selected to be apart of the series. Since this is a community series we will partner with local designers, photographers, artist, and business to help execute our creative vision. This space will provide us with all the time we need to create a world changing project.

What is Space for Change?

Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.

Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.

Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
