Little Essentials is hosting a Community Giveaway event that will serve families from one of our 26 partner organizations. The Giveaway will be a "shopping" event, where families can hand select items they need to support their children. Items include diapers, wipes, infant hygiene supplies, clothing, books, toys, strollers, car seats and more! For past giveaways, we have been lucky enough to partner with the National Diaper Bank Network, Healthy Nest, The Brooklyn Book Bodega and BabyZen Strollers, who have donated products. We'll be serving families from University Settlement LES. We estimate that we can provide essential items for to up to 200 families in need, if given the space and a 2-4 hour event window.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
