WRFG provides a platform for discussions about social justice reform and equality. We provide a voice for those who have been traditionally denied open access to the broadcast media through the involvement of a broad base of community elements to guarantee that access. We give priority to those who continue to be denied free and open access to the broadcast media and who suffer oppression or exploitation based upon class, race, sex, age, creed, sexual orientation, disability, or immigrant status.
We will use the space to host a fundraising event for WRFG 89.3 FM. For 47 years, listener donations have supported our station and we will host an intimate benefit and appreciation event for WRFG major supporters that will also be streamed lived.
Peerspace is on a mission to bring people together. We believe it is impossible to achieve that goal unless we also fight for equality and access to resources in the communities we serve.
Having a space to gather, create, and exchange ideas is an important part of any movement. In order to magnify voices that are often quieted, Peerspace will sponsor venues for people who challenge prejudice and fight for social justice and equality.
Each quarter, we will sponsor space for three projects that are relevant to our community. These projects can range from fundraisers and educational initiatives to art exhibits and photo series.
